2006 Saab 9-5 2.0t Biopower Vector - September 2015 Update - Trionic Seven

It's been seven days since we bought our blue 9-5 SportCombi and it's time to discuss some of the work that has been put into the car so far.

First, we have done a full paint correction. We washed and clayed the car followed by masking it up with masking tape. Then it was time for compunding. Since the car had never been polished in its nine year life the paint was full of swirls.

Using an orange pad and Menzerna Super Heavy Cut Compound 300 I started to compound all surfaces, making sure the swirls were gone. The next step was polishing with a yellow pad and Menzerna Super Finish 4500, which removed the dulling caused by the compound. Finally, I used a black pad and Menzerna Sealing Wax SW Protect to apply a coat of wax. The result was a very clean and smooth finish with excellent water beading properties.
