In this video we expose the biggest mistake when it come to the light and airy photography style, talk about the differences between digital and film photography when shooting natural light portraits and why you may actually want to UNDEREXPOSE your photos (on purpose!)

A common misconception with the light and airy style popular amongst portrait and wedding photographers is that you should only prioritize people & getting the best skin tones. However, the best photographers ALSO pay attention to highlight details in order to achieve rich, feature-worthy, filmic photography that's attractive to both publishers and high paying clients. So if you've heard differing opinions on whether you should overexpose or underexpose your photos for the best skin tones (especially when shooting & editing for a light, bright and airy photography style), this is a must watch video!

At the end I'll also be sharing an editing tip in Lightroom for editing purposefully underexposed images WITHOUT losing highlight detail.
