A Perfect Day in Sayulita, Mexico (Beaches, Surfing, Markets, Food)

In this video I will show you how to spend a PERFECT day in Sayulita, Mexico. Sayulita is a beautiful town in the state of Nayarit, Mexico that is home to beautiful beaches, great surf, delicious food, and a lively backpacker and digital nomad scene. I truly think Sayulita is paradise in Mexico. I visited Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico in 2021 and fell in love with this bohemian beachside town.

In this Sayulita travel vlog, I will take you with me as I spend the perfect day. This video will be your ultimate Sayulita travel guide. To start off the day I went to Organi-k, which is one of Sayulita’s many organic cafes. For breakfast I had a delicious Acai bowl and a hot latte. After eating some delicious food, it was time to surf at the famous Sayulita beach. Sayulita has great, consistent surf that is perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers.

After an incredible morning surf session, it was time to head to Playa De Los Muertos, which is a beautiful beach just 15 minutes walk outside of downtown Sayulita. Playa De Los Muertos translates to Beach of the Dead, which is located directly behind a graveyard. This is a beautiful beach with more locals than tourists, and a great spot to go for a relaxing swim.

For lunch, I walked 10 minutes outside of town to eat at a local spot serving fresh chicken, potatoes, and rice. It was delicious! After lunch, we walked through Sayulita Plaza, which is the main plaza in downtown Sayulita. It is a great, tranquil park with tons of flowers and big palm trees. Next, we walked through the Artisanal / Hippie Market, which is one long dirt road full of vendors selling clothes, souvenirs, and other eye-catching goodies. The Sayulita hippie market really exemplifies the hippie / bohemian side of Sayulita. After walking through the Hippie / Artisanal Market, we ended up on the North Side of Sayulita beach, which is a lot less crowded and just as beautiful as the main section of Sayulita Beach.

To end the perfect day in Sayulita, Mexico we got some burritos for dinner, followed by an ice cream, before heading back to the beach to watch a famous Sayulita sunset. Sunset in Sayulita is absolutely magical and is the perfect way to cap off the perfect day in Sayulita, Mexico!
