The day after we visited Machu Picchu we decided to return to the town that our PeruRail train left from - Ollantaytambo. We knew that Ollantaytambo had more Incan ruins but wondered if we would be bored after seeing the amazing Machu Picchu ruins the day before, Turns out, not only were we not bored, we found the history of Ollantaytambo archaeological site even MORE fascinating than Machu Picchu! The site predates Machu Picchu by thousands of years and has a long and storied past.
