Ozone generated by UV can be eliminated by ozone catalyst

Ozone decomposition catalysts are an efficient solution for eliminating ozone produced as a byproduct of UV equipment. They mainly use transition metal oxides (such as MnO₂, CuO) or supported precious metals (such as Pt/Al₂O₃) as active components. These catalysts decompose ozone (O₃) into oxygen (O₂) through surface adsorption and electron transfer at room temperature, with a conversion efficiency of more than 95%. Its porous structure design can increase the contact area, achieve rapid decomposition without secondary pollution, and is suitable for ozone treatment scenarios such as UV disinfection machines and printing equipment. Compared with traditional high-temperature pyrolysis technology, catalytic decomposition has lower energy consumption and higher safety. The catalyst life is usually 2-5 years, with low maintenance costs, and is both environmentally friendly and economical.
