macOS instance on AWS EC2: Setup, SSH & GUI Access (Under 10 mins)

AWS recently announced support for macOS instances & in this video I show how one can create a macOS instance & connect to it via SSH & GUI (via Screen Sharing)

Below are the commands which I use in this video:

Key pair permissions
sudo chown 400 yourkey.pem

SSH
ssh -i yourkey.pem ec2-user@your-ip

Password Change
sudo passwd ec2-user

Enable VNC
sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -activate -configure -access -on -clientopts -setvnclegacy -vnclegacy yes -clientopts -setvncpw -vncpw password1 -restart -agent -privs -all
