The reason I created Princess Pembe isn't because other children don't matter. It's because Black children are often underrepresented when it comes to princesses, fantasy characters, and positive role models.

When a group of children rarely gets to see themselves reflected, creating something specifically for them isn't exclusion, t's INCLUSION.

All children are welcome in Princess Pembe's world. I'm simply making sure the children who are often overlooked get to feel seen too.
