Emergency Alert System (EAS) - Nebraska Annual Statewide Mock Tornado Watch and Warning Drill . 2018

The week of March 26th, 2018 is Severe Weather Awareness Week here in the U.S. and on March 28th, Nebraska & Iowa had their annual statewide tornado drill where all businesses, schools, etc., practice their tornado emergency duck & cover plans.

Here, we hear the mock tornado watch and warning as they again come from the National Weather Service through a Trilithic EASy Plus EAS System Controller. Unlike 2015 though, the voice from the NWS is computerized and reads out the watch/warning in a funky way ;p (personally, I like real voices better). Civil Defense sirens and the actual warning itself were off by about seven minutes, so no sirens are heard in the background (also unlike the 2015 video). Initial broadcasts are not shown.
