Flavor Flav: I Broke the Racial Barrier in Rap, People Didn't Like Me for That (Flashback)
In light of Flavor Flav going viral for singing the National Anthem, we take a look back at Flav’s VladTV interview, where he started off speaking about growing up in New York. Flav spoke about stealing LIRR trains with his friends and jumping off, and he added that they also stole boats. From there, Vlad spoke to Flav about his image, and Flav explained that “everyone perceives me the same,” and he added that he’s different. Flavor Flav went on to explain how he broke a racial barrier in rap, and he admits that people didn’t like it.
