Today, let's learn how to introduce yourself in German, including your job and where you live.

To start, say 'Ich heiße' followed by your name, and 'Ich wohne in' for where you live. For example: Ich heiße Alex und ich wohne in Berlin.

When someone asks 'Was machst du beruflich?', you respond with 'Ich bin' and your job. Note that German often omits 'a' - ”so just 'Ich bin Lehrer oder -ich bin Lehrerin '.
