After quitting the Shoe Polish Show, Nina Mae and Babe are walking in Harlem when they cross paths with the Nicholas Brothers who are selling chances in a numbers game. Babe lays $10 on 0-0-0- at 600 to one odds.The film then cuts to the Black Network Amateur Hour where the two brothers arrive to sing and dance their Lucky Number on the show, Meanwhile, Brutus discovers that wife Mezzanine's singing has ruined the Shoe Polish show, resulted in customers leaving and that they are about to be financially ruined.
