https://asimplyfab.life/ Part #2 of our Europe road trip means we still need to head north towards our appointment in the Netherlands to register our NPO: https://netnomads.online/. Before we park at camping à l'ombre du chateau we need to make a quick Swiss detour. We are visiting Lake Lemans, where Simon and Kinga live, and spend a few days chilling, catching up and doing some work. This may even be the last time we are able to visit 🇨🇭 - or at least for a long time...

The lake region between Geneva and Lausanne is just amazing. Beautiful clear skies, surrounded by mountains and the lake itself forms a perfectly romantic backdrop for a sailing adventure, evening apéro or a long walk along the shore. However, we needed to push on and headed back into the centre of France, aiming to put some miles under our belts so we aimed for the Morvan region.

Camping à l'Ombre de Chateau is a mini-camping at the edge of the Morvan regional park in central France. 'Mini' camping means exactly that - no more than10 pitches overlooking a valley of green trees and grasslands.

We arrived here at the very beginning of the tourist season - so it was very quiet. The only other guests at this time arrived a day later...

The dutch couple has renovated an old farm building with small ablution, generous outside space and an internal communal area that can be used. Fresh bread can be pre-ordered for the morning, but the best part is a view of the forests over the valley from the edge of the village of Menessaire.
