GANDALF’s Fall and Resurrection* Lord of the Rings

After Gandalf the Grey defeats the Balrog, he too dies from the long fierce battle. Eru grants Gandalf greater wisdom/power as Gandalf the White and sends him back to Middle-earth to replace Saruman the White; who betrayed the gods as leader of the wizards to protect Middle-earth from evil.
