Vande Mataram: A Musical Journey Through India

NEW YORK, April 18, 2022 — In celebration of India's 75th anniversary, Vande Mataram is a concert journeying across the length and breadth of India through music. Sung in more than ten official Indian languages, the concert’s theme is India’s unity in diversity. Renowned vocalist Aruna Sairam performed with an esteemed group of Indian musicians including Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan (mridangam), Rajeev Mukundan (violin), Amit Kavthekar (tabla), and Gaurav Mazumdar (sitar). (1 hr., 37 min.)

This event was co-presented by the Indian Consulate General, the Indian Fine Arts Academy of San Diego, and Asia Society New York.
