We had our own private oasis on Kuta beach in Lombok. We seriously couldn't believe how empty it was. Lombok is the sister island to Bali but it doesn't get as much traffic. It's almost like a hidden secret. The people that are in the know definitely enjoy how calm and easy going the island is. We checked out Kuta beach because we heard it was one of the popular ones on the South side of Lombok. It's a different vibe than Bali for sure and they are still recovering from the horrible earthquake they had a few years ago.
