Being a principal was incredibly rewarding. I loved the interplay of relationships with students, teachers, and parents. But I realized that as much as I try to be the best principal, ultimately, there is only so much I can do because I am not their parent. Moreover, it was unreasonable for parents to expect me to act as their child's parent, when I'm not.

I realized that many parents didn't realize their role as parents, and that they are the primary educators of their children, even though others can play a supporting role. I felt called to start helping parents embody this role in the format that best supports their leadership as the primary educators through homeschooling.
