Length Compensation
In this Rottler Tech Tip we show how to setup tool length compensation. Tool length compensation stores the different lengths for each tool so that the machine is aware of how far each tool extends below the spindle.
Setting up length compensation allows the operator to increase efficiency when switching between blocks, or creating new programs. With length compensation, programs can be written based on blue print values. The probe is then all that is required to setup any new block. With length compensation operators no longer have to reset the start and stop location for cutting operations, saving time and money.
The Rottler EM105H series machining center is designed to accommodate medium over the road size blocks up to large marine and off-road engines such as CAT3516 series engines. Automated probing and cutting cycles allow for increased throughput and operator efficiency, while Rottler's fixturing allows for versatile, precise, and quick change overs.
