WE'RE SO CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS I CAN BASICALLY TASTE IT! (is that a hint to future cooking with Chad Episodes???) who knows. I mean really. I don't. lol Anyways, I have something (hopefully) good to share with yall this morning...

I was listening to a sermon this morning and the pastor said something that hit like a ton a bricks. He said the "most dangerous aspect of your relationships is not your weakness, but your delusions of strength. Self-reliance is almost always a component of a bad relationship.” Now-a-days everything that we see and read is about "self help" or live "your" truth etc. And I'm not hating on the Tony Robins, Gary V's, and "motivational speaker pastors" but i think we are falling into a dangerous trap if those messages are the only we allow in. Yeah sure, "only the strong survive" but when, as christians, do we do things the way the world wants? Was it when Sarah was well above birth giving age that we gave up on her? Or was it David's small stature that made us write him off as not a warrior? or how about Jesus riding into town on a donkey and then crowned with thorns that we denied him because He didn't appear as the world wanted him to appear on a brilliant stallion with a crown of gold and gems. Somewhere along the line it became wrong to be "weak" and because of that our reliance of God to be our strength devolves to we just didn't work hard enough. Or we weren't _______(fill in the blank) enough. Our delusion of strength will keep us from fulfillment more than our weakness will. Let's not lean on our own understanding but let's look to God in ALLLLLLLLLLLL things and He will make our path straight.
