How to make a shirtlace button (not a Dorset Button) - a zwirnknopfe ring button

How to make a shirtlace ring button - often called a Dorset button but made in a different way to traditional Dorset buttons. Instead, the button is made using the zwirnknopfe ("thread button") method.

The particular pattern on this tutorial is also included in our Zwirnknopfe Little Button Journal Kit, available on our website. This kit has six different designs and includes materials and a fabric journal.
