Doppelmayr Transport Technology - RopeCon "Strengen", Österreich (2001)

DE: Im Rahmen des Tunnelbauprojekts der Autobahnumfahrung Strengen in Tirol sollten ca. 850.000 m³ Felsaushubmaterial zur dafür vorgesehenen Deponie transportiert werden. Die Schwierigkeit dabei: Ein Fluss, eine stark befahrene Straße und eine Eisenbahntrasse waren zu überwinden. Für ein konventionelles Förderband hätte dafür eine lange Brückenkonstruktion errichtet werden müssen. Auch der Abtransport mit geschätzten 115.000 LKW-Fahrten und den damit verbundenen Lärm-, Staub- und CO2 Emissionen schied aus. Die ARGE Tunnel Strengen suchte somit nach einer anderen Lösung, um das stark abrasive Quarzgestein zu befördern. Für dieses Projekt wurde das RopeCon® Konzept erstmalig eingesetzt. Fluss, Autobahn und Bahnlinie konnten damit einfach und in direkter Linie überspannt werden. Der Gurt wurde nach der Entladung gewendet, sodass kein Restmaterial vom Gurt fallen konnte. Der RopeCon® überzeugte durch einen sauberen, leisen und effizienten Materialtransport von A nach B.

EN: The Strengen motorway by-pass tunnel project in Tyrol, Austria, was expected to produce approximately 850,000 m³ of rock excavation material which had to be taken to the designated dump. Transportation of the material to the dump was complicated by the fact that a river, a very busy road and a railway track were in the way. A conventional conveyor would have required a long bridge structure to cross these obstacles. 115,000 truck journeys along with the associated emissions of noise, dust and CO2 were no option for the removal of the excavated material. ARGE Tunnel Strengen thus went looking for a different approach to transport the highly abrasive quartz. Strengen was the first RopeCon® project ever: With this new concept of material transport it was possible to span the river, the road and the railway in one straight line. The belt of the RopeCon® was turned right behind the discharge point so that no residual material would fall off the belt on its way back. In its first project ever, RopeCon® more than lived up to the expectations and certainly stood the test as a clean, quiet, efficient and straight-forward transport solution.
