ASX 200 closes up 0.79 per cent on Monday

Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says the ASX 200 was “higher” on Monday and “kept going all day”, closing up 0.79 per cent.

Top performers included Myer, which rose 7.26 per cent, but shares are down 22 per cent in the past three months.

Gold miner St Barbara slumped 16.07 per cent, and Nickel Industries fell 6.03 per cent after admitting half of its mines are unprofitable.
