After over 1 years hard use, I have to say Garmont's DRAGONTAIL Approach shoes have not let me down. Tough leather and rubber construction sporting an excellent VIBRAM sole with a great grippy tread pattern, the Dragontail is an approach shoe you can feel comfortable in walking over rough terrain giving you a secure feeling from the sole and the lacing pattern.

The lacing system of the Garmont Dragontail is also well thought out and the tongue is of bellows construction, so this is great at preventing small stones and sticks getting right into the shoes.. The Garmont Dragontail comes in various colors if you're not up to the zombie green of mine and there is also a gortex model although I simply spray mine once in a whole with silicone water repellent and they are good to go.

Totally recommend them for people serious about their outdoor footwear!

Those of you who are climbers and are not wearing the the Dragontail, I'd definitely recommend you take a look at this model.
