Bacteria are helpful in Agriculture because the Nitrifying and Denitrifying bacteria play an important role in Nitrogen fixation. They convert the Atmospheric Nitrogen into soluble Nitrates which are used by the Leguminous plants, and add to the fertility of the soil.
