St. Junipero Serra’s Last Mission gets Big News from the Vatican

Friends, I was truly blessed to offer Mass with Archbishop Gomez, Father Tom Elewaut, and other priests from my region at the Mission San Buenaventura in Ventura. The Archbishop made the announcement that the beautiful Mission church has been designated by the Holy See as a minor basilica. This recognition honors both the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the legacy of St. Junipero Serra.
