Y'all, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

I had to figure out how to get rid of my itchy, red, irritated scalp. I have NEVER had any scalp issues HOWEVER this brand of synthetic hair (Spetra EZ Braid Professional) irritated my scalp soooo bad.

I got the idea to dip my entire head of braids from back when I had locs and used to do loc detoxes. I essentially just poured Apple Cider Vinegar & lavender oil into a sink full of water and put my entire head into the sink for 15 minutes.

The after-smell of the Apple Cider Vinegar was not that bad. Thankfully, one week later the entire smell is gone. I recommend if you're going to use this method to add lavender or another essential oil of your choice because it will definitely help to reduce the smell of the vinegar.

This method is 100% effective, FOR ME. My box braids no longer itch and I am able to style them without my scalp getting super irritated.
