Second Chance For The Bundt Pan
Here's the recipe for this Cream Cheese Pound Cake:
1- 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups softened butter (3 sticks)
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs at room temperature
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
3 cups all-purpose flour
This cake needs a 12.5 cup tub or Bundt pan.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees, bake for 1 1/2 hours
Put aluminum foil over top the last half hour of baking to prevent over-browning on the top of the cake.
Cool twenty minutes in the pan.
Glaze:
3 to 4 cups confectioner's sugar, sifted
4 tablespoons melted butter
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons sour cream
