LURE FISHING FOR FRESHWATER BASS IN FRANCE
On my summer holiday this year we camped beside a lake in mid west france (bignac). The lake contains Carp, bream, pike ....and a healthy population of BLACK BASS!!!
If you enjoy lure fishing for perch in the UK , then you absolutely must go lure fishing for Black Bass. They are like perch , but on steroids. Pound for pound, you will be hard pushed to find a more aggressive, territorial and hard fishing fresh water fish.
I targetted them on small crankbaits (diawa prorex micro minnow), soft plastics (fish arrow flash J) and on topwater bass lures like the Patchinko 100.
Typically the biggest bass came on the larger lures. They are ambush preditors, so bites came from any structure including submerged branches, weedbanks, overhanging trees and rock piles
