Reactor Ispra 1 (Part II)
Il reattore Ispra 1 e l'associato Centro di Ricerca furono costruiti negli anni 1957-1959 dall'allora Comitato Nazionale per la Ricerca Nazionale (CNRN), successivamente cambiato in Comitato Nazionale per l'Energia Nucleare (CNEN). Secondo l'accordo ratificato dal Parlamento italiano il 1 agosto 1960 (legge 906), il Centro di Ispra passò sotto la direzione e l'amministrazione dell'Euratom l'1 marzo 1961, ad esclusione del Reattore Ispra 1, che fino al 1 marzo 1963 fu gestito dal CNEN. Del tipo statunitense CP5 e destinato alla ricerca, il reattore funzionò fino al 1973.
