भारतीय ज्योतिष परम्परा का आधुनिक प्रतिमान - Indian Institute of Astrophysics

बेंगलुरु स्थित भारतीय खगोल-भौतिकी संस्थान या IIA भौतिकी यानी Physics के अन्तर्गत ज्योतिष, ताराभौतिकी (Steller Physics) आदि को समर्पित एक राष्ट्रीय महत्व का संस्थान है।

वर्ष 1971 में अपना वर्तमान स्वरूप ग्रहण करने वाला यह संस्थान न केवल भारत बल्कि पूरी दुनिया में Astronomy & Astrophysics की शिक्षा एवं शोध के एक प्रमुख केन्द्र के रूप में स्थापित हुआ है।

वर्ष 1899 में तैयार हुई कोडइकनाल वेधशाला से लेकर लद्दाख में 21वीं सदी के आरंभ में स्थापित भारतीय खगोल वेधशाला (IAO) तक अनेक वेधशालाओं और दूरबीनों के साथ यह संस्थान भारत की अतिप्राचीन ज्योतिष परम्परा का आधुनिक ध्वजवाहक है।
