Pit Boss Smoked Chicken Wings | Crispy
In today's video we are cooking up some absolutely delicious crispy chicken wings on the Pit Boss Austin XL! These smoked chicken wings had a TON of flavor thanks to the fresh tasting SuckleBusters Lemon Pepper Garlic rub we used, the nice flavor we got from our Pit Boss Austin XL, and our Alabama White Sauce from our last video. To prep these chicken wings:
-Break down the whole wing into party style wings by cutting them at the joints. The wing tips can be used for making stock if you choose to do so!
-Season liberally with the rub of your choice, and then let them hangout while you fire up your smoker/grill to 300 degrees fahrenheit.
To Cook these wings:
-Place the wings with the thicker skin side down and let them cook for 10 minutes.
-After 10 minutes, give them their first flip, and let them go another 10 minutes.
-After that 10 minutes is up, flip them again, and let them go for 10 more minutes.
-After 10 more minutes, it's time for our last flip. Flip the wings and let them cook until you've achieved desired crispiness, and your internal temperature is around 195-200 degrees fahrenheit. Wings can handle this high internal temp without drying out, and it makes them deliciously tender!
The last step is to ENJOY these delicious and crispy wings!
