2011 - 2014 Chevrolet Cruze GM Factory Fog Lights Option Unboxing & Installation (with Bumper on!)

This video describes installation of the GM factory original front fascia / bumper cover mounted fog lights accessory option kit 95248415 for 2011 2012 2013 and 2014 first generation Chevrolet Cruze models, without removing the fascia / bumper cover. The old part numbers for this same kit was GM 95469569 and before that 95903470 and 96983696 (all three discontinued and replaced by 95248415 which is itself now discontinued by GM).

This particular Chevy option is fairly easy to add, and I will show an abbreviated approach where you do not need to remove the bumper cover / fascia or headlights nor even raise the vehicle to complete the install. It will be a tight fit in many cases though! The vehicle illustrated is a 2012 Cruze ECO, but the procedure is the same for all first generation models.

Depending on when your vehicle was manufactured by GM, you may have to take it into the Chevrolet dealer to complete the installation. Cruze models manufactured between start of production on May 6th, 2009 and thru March 25, 2013 will require the body control module (BCM) to have the fog light option enabled in the flash settings at your local GM Chevrolet dealer. Only a GM dealer has the necessary service tool to perform this step. These vehicles are too new for the venerable GM Tech2 scan tool, and would not be supported by that nor any similar third party scan tools. You would need access to the Multiple Diagnostic Interface (MDI) or MDI2 tool for this procedure, if applicable for your BCM.

NOTE: Cruze models built AFTER March 25th, 2013 do NOT require any additional dealer scan tool BCM configuration for the fog light option to function. It should just work, the same as the 2012 ECO shown in this video does (though it was obviously made prior to that date from GM so take their cutoff date with a grain of salt as it's obviously off a tad).

WARNING: The GM kit described in this video is ONLY designed for use on the Chevrolet Cruze. Other GM vehicles are electrically and mechanically incompatible.
