Max Bygraves 'The Ballad Of Davy Crockett' 1956 78 rpm

Not the best version of this popular song from 1956 but Max's popularity at the time meant it gave him a #20 hit, not bad considering Bill Hayes #2, Tennessee Ernie #3 and Gary Miller #10 (as the A side of Robin Hood) also had charting versions in the UK charts.
We almost get that catchphrase 'I Wanna Tell You A Story', Max never actually said it until Mike Yarwood used it in his impersonations of Max.
