Starting a 20G Antecubital / Cephalic Vein IV

A couple of things that I did wrong in this video, never let go of the IV catheter unless it is properly secured with tape because you never know if the patient will move their arm or pull causing the catheter to be pulled out. I did not mention to look for a flash once the needle enters the vein. I did not show the IV Connection tubing being flushed before connection (which I did do) to get rid of air that could cause an embolism if introduced into vein. I did not mention to pull traction on arm prior to needle piercing skin in order to make entry easier.

Please feel free to comment any critiques or learning points. I appreciate any tricks or skills which could be applied in the field. Thanks for watching!
