Saturday was one of the biggest games of the season with the Catholic League title up for grabs between two undefeated teams in District 9-5A. The Patriots had been explosive on offense coming into the matchup scoring at least 38 points in four of its last five games while Rummel had held its last four opponents to a total of 13 points. This game picked up late in the second half with an exchange of long touchdowns and the Patriots were led by their potent rushing attack while USC 2020 WR commit Koy Moore proved his 4-star status for Rummel.
