How to recover your voice after being sick (Vocal Compression Exercise)

Have you ever wondered why your voice isn't as clear as it was in the past?
I'm Mary Zimmer, vocal instructor at Voicehacks by Mary Z and in less than 20 minutes I'll show you an exercise that will put you on the road to recovering that vocal tone you used to have. This is a great exercise specifically for more powerful singers, such as pop, rock or metal belters. This vocal exercise can even be useful for those of you learning to belt for the first time. I often assign this exercise as a strengthening tool for my Fry screamers as well, although this is a singing (not a screaming exercise). This exercise may also help reduce unintentional "breathy" or "airy" sounds or gaps when singing.
