LET’S TALK *REALISTIC* TIMELINES👇🏽💥🔥
I’m getting really tired of people commenting how they got their splits in 3 days, 2 weeks, 30 days…when they were 10 😂 Splits are WAY easier to achieve as a child or teenager, so let’s set the record straight.
If you’re are an ADULT (25+) with NO flexibility & you’ve NEVER had splits before, the AVERAGE timeline to achieve the splits IF you are training the RIGHT program CONSISTENTLY is anywhere from 3-12 months.
Yes, 12 months is NORMAL. STOP letting people who’ve had splits since they were 6 tell you it’s easy or can happen in 2 weeks 🤦🏽♀️
Please understand that splits are an EXTREME skill to achieve in adulthood with no prior flexibility, not a walk in the park 😅
With that being said, your personal timeline, whether you achieve them closer to 3 or closer to 12 months, will depend on many factors, including:
-The program you’re training (mine will get you there 👌🏽)
-How consistent you are (3x/wk is ideal 👍🏽)
-How well you’re performing the exercises (focus, breathing)
-Your current natural level of flexibility (we all start out at *slightly* different places)
-Your lifestyle (stress & drinking alcohol every weekend won’t help you get there faster)
-Your recovery (sleep, nutrition, hydration, tending to your sore muscles, etc)
-Any prior or current injuries
✅ Only one thing is for sure…you’ll NEVER get the splits if you don’t START!
If you start NOW…you’ll likely have the splits by the end of this year or sooner 🔥 While you’re waiting for the “right time” or trying to “figure it out” on your own, my students are already halfway there.
💥 REAL TALK: The most difficult part is the very beginning, starting & staying consistent the first 1-6 weeks 😅
