Why Does Nick Reiner Think He Deserves His Parents’ Money?
Nick Reiner filed a 136-page probate petition demanding over $1.5 million from a trust his parents created for him when he was a baby. Rob and Michele Reiner are gone. And their son is still reaching for their money from behind bars.
This petition is not a routine legal filing. It is a roadmap of entitlement from a man who has allegedly never earned a significant dollar on his own. His siblings Jake and Romy initially stepped up after the arrests, reportedly hiring one of the most prominent defense attorneys in the country. Then they stopped. Sources say they were disgusted. The attorney withdrew. Nick got a public defender. And instead of reckoning with that reality, he assembled a separate civil legal team and went to court to force out the money his own family refused to give him. The filing says Nick “loved his parents” and that the facts of their deaths “are not at issue.” It asks for commissary funds for socks and soap in the same document that demands seven figures. And it argues that being charged with his parents’ killings is the reason the money should come faster. Tony Brueski goes through this petition piece by piece, strips away the legal framing, and delivers the accountability verdict this case has been building toward. California’s slayer statute exists to prevent exactly this. If Nick is convicted, every cent passes to his siblings. The clock is running. And Nick Reiner is trying to cash out before it stops.
