The City of Milwaukee Department of City Development joined Mayor of Milwaukee Cavalier Johnson and Maxon Industries to announce the company's purchase of 1.6 acres of City-owned land at 6600 N. Teutonia Ave., adjacent to its headquarters at 3204 W. Mill Road.

Founded in Milwaukee in 1972, Maxon Industries manufactures heavy construction equipment used in major infrastructure projects across the country and world. The company’s planned multi-phase expansion will add significant manufacturing and operational space to its existing facility. The project is expected to bring approximately $2.8 million in new investment and create new jobs in Milwaukee.

This expansion reflects the City of Milwaukee’s continued commitment to supporting local manufacturing, creating family-supporting jobs, and returning City-owned properties to productive economic use.
