Bluewaters Island, Ain Dubai & Dubai Marina Walk | World's Tallest Wheel

Located across the water from Dubai Marina, Bluewaters Island is split into different areas across residential, retail, leisure and entertainment, hotels, and beach clubs. The record-breaking Ain Dubai or ‘Dubai Eye’ is the centerpiece of the lifestyle destination, which is home to more than 200 retail and dining concepts.
The island is also home to Caesar’s Palace Dubai, a luxurious lifestyle resort with a range of accommodation types and dining venues. Within the ultra-luxe hub, you’ll find the incredibly popular Cove Beach lounge, entertaining guests throughout the week and ideal for sunset mingling.
From Jumeirah Beach Residence you can take a stroll across the pedestrian link bridge. The lovely walk is less than 300 meters and a convenient way to travel between The Beach and Bluewaters. You’ll even find a monorail system to travel to and from the Bluewaters leisure hub to Dubai’s Metro stations.
The 250 m (820 ft) Ain Dubai previously named the Dubai Eye or Dubai at Bluewaters Island in the United Arab Emirates was announced in February 2013. Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Starneth Engineering were appointed as the primary design and construction contractors. Construction began in May 2015, anticipating completion in early to mid-2019. Further delays pushed the target opening to October 20, 2020, in order to coincide with Expo 2020, but this itself has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The wheel is currently scheduled to open a year later after that date, on October 21, 2021.
When completed, Ain Dubai will be 82.4 m (270 ft) taller than the current world's tallest observation wheel, the 167.6 m (550 ft) High Roller, which opened in Las Vegas in March 2014.
Design and construction are being undertaken by Hyundai Contracting and Starneth Engineering, with actual construction being undertaken from May 2015 onwards.
The wheel will be able to carry up to 1,400 passengers in its 48 capsules and provide views of Dubai Marina and landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, and Burj Khalifa. Its base will serve as an entertainment zone, and an 80-meter (260 ft) LED screen will be mounted on the wheel creating an electronic platform for broadcasting, advertisements, and other information.
