The Iconic Mosque, The Mosque of ALLAH. Dubai Creek Harbour . EMAAR

The iconic mosque, the mosque of Allah, was proposed by ZKArchitects for the international competition of architecture organized by EMAAR.

While seeking a better integration for the project, our thought was that “if the tower was inspired by the minaret, why not be considered as the minaret of the iconic mosque?”.

The next question is: how? Especially because of the considerable distance between the tower and the intervention area. To link between them we decided to place two minarets along the linear park in a geometric trace with the Creek Tower, and by following the architecture of Calatrava, the whole is going to form the name of the god (ALLAH) in the urban scale referring to the words of Allah in surat Al-Jinn, verse 18 “and the places of worship are for Allah” "و ان المساجد لله".

The iconic mosque is the mosque of Allah. The iconic mosque and the iconic tower will complete each other to express a single identity; an Islamic identity.
