FIRST RIDE – PART 5 Hidden Mountain Roads

Back when I was living in Daejeon, South Korea, I discovered something unexpected.

Just 15 minutes on a motorbike could take you from dense city streets to quiet lakes, forests, and mountain roads that felt a world away from the metropolis.

What started as simple rides after work quickly turned into something much bigger.

Following a fellow rider who had spent years exploring the region, I began to discover roads that most people never see — hidden mountain trails, remote farming valleys, and breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the Korean countryside.

In this episode we leave the city behind and follow Route 32 west, eventually turning onto the Junganbong logging trail, a narrow mountain road carved into the forest.

What we found at the top was something I never expected.

Sometimes all it takes is a motorbike… and the willingness to follow the road until it disappears.
