Finally after 3 years of closure, MANILA ZOO has a new, clean, and modern look! It's also the zoo's first major renovation since July 1959!

*As of Dec. 30, 2021, Manila Zoo is in its soft opening phase (public entry is still closed - date to be announced). This means that the zoo is not yet 100% operational. There are still a lot of animals missing and some of the cages and attractions are not yet completed.

**The entrance fee has been WAIVED for the whole month of January 2022! So it's FREE as of now!

***UPDATE JANUARY 2, 2022 - Things to know before going here:***

1. Manila Zoo was opened to workers, gov't officials, and media last Dec. 30, 2021 until 6PM. 6PM onwards it was briefly opened to the public.
2. As of today, January 2, Manila Zoo is closed. Please check Mayor Isko's Facebook Page on when it will be opened to the public. But all sources says the opening will be this month.
3. The NCR will be placed under Level 3 restrictions from Jan. 3-15. I'm not sure if this will affect the opening of the zoo.
4. Manila Zoo doesn't have an official Facebook Page. So the only realtime news we can rely on is with Mayor Isko. https://www.facebook.com/iskomorenodomagoso

Unfortunately most media outlets says Manila Zoo is open but the exact date for the public access is yet to be known.
