A$AP Ferg's Celine Bag, Yamborghini Chain, Nextel Walkie Talkie & More | HYPEBEAST Essentials
We sat down with A$AP Ferg to break down some of his New York key summer items. The common denominator to every accessory that was featured is the connection to A$AP Ferg’s childhood and the knowledge acquired from his travels around the world.
Born and raised in Harlem, New York, it makes sense that the first item featured was an all red New York Yankees cap. He follows up with two CELINE bags, one grey and one green. “During the summer, I’m always walking with a CELINE bag, especially traveling, because it can fit so much in it.”
While discussing his love for the Motorola i530 Yellow Rugged Walkie Talkie Nextel model, Ferg shares that he’s working with Pharrell for his next project and that the phone inspired the music. “I’m transforming into Flip Phone Shorty,” he asserts. “This inspired a lot the songs, I just bring a rack of these. I own like 10 Nextels and lay it right across the control board and just kind of get inspired by them.” He later shows off his Fendi jewelry bag that was given to him by his grandmother.
One of the main items spotlighted is a bike chain from his recent collaboration with BMX brand Redline Bikes. The “A Collaboration Of Two True Originals” collection is made up of a limited-edition RL 275 bike and a line of original merch that matches the design and color scheme of the bike.
