More than half a million teachers have left teaching in the last 1.5 years. Now kids are heading back to school, but will there be anyone there to teach? Nathalie Hrizi, public schools teacher librarian and Vice President of Substitutes with United Educators of San Francisco, explains the roots of the shortage and the urgent demands that teachers, parents, and communities have to fix this crisis.
