Manaslu Base Camp (4,800m)
Manaslu Base Camp sits high above Samagaun on the lap of the world’s 8th highest mountain, Mt. Manaslu (8,163m). Surrounded by massive glaciers, hanging icefalls, and sharp ridgelines, the base camp feels like a natural fortress built by the Himalayas themselves.

From the top, you get breathtaking views of Birendra Lake far below, the long Manaslu Glacier stretching across the valley, and the snowy crown of Manaslu rising directly ahead. Climbers use this camp as their gateway to the summit, but even for trekkers, reaching the base camp is a highlight—an up-close encounter with one of Nepal’s most majestic mountains.

It’s cold, raw, and powerful, yet incredibly peaceful—exactly what a true Himalayan base camp should feel like.
