Calculus 2: Rearrangement of a Series to Produce a Different Sum

In this video, we are going to be talking about something pretty weird. We are actually able to rearrange the terms of a series to produce a different sum.

This is because the commutative property of addition fails when you have an infinite amount of terms that you are adding together. It seems like an extremely confusing and counter-intuitive concept at first, but as you think about it, it makes more and more sense.

This concept was something that I really struggled with at first. However, I explain in this video how I came to understand this concept. I simplify this down into something that I think everyone can understand.

I hope this video helped! If it did, be sure to SUBSCRIBE for more content. Thanks for watching!
