Ham Radio Road Trip with APRS! Ham Radio Makes Road Trips Fun!

Ham Radio always makes road trips more fun. Usually I'll take DMR, APRS, and/or HF radio on my road trip. Today on our drive to Tahoe, CA I'm taking APRS, FM, and DMR along for the trip.

FTM-100 DR Is a dual band VHF/UHF radio that does APRS, Digital Yaesu Fusion, and regular FM. Price is about $250 used on QRZ.com. Highly recommended as a APRS or Fusion radio. It is limited by only being able listen to one band at a time and not really being able to listen to another station while in APRS mode, but a great radio. If you want more there are great deals on the FTM-400, but for me it was overkill at this point in time. 73 KB6VTU.
