A Hike up Colorado's Crestone Needle 14,197'

July 16, 2015 3 great climbing friends leave base-camp @ 6am to hike to the 14,197' summit of Crestone Needle from Lower South Colony Lake. After the snow fields and gully we make it to Broken Hand Pass 12,900' we continue up awesome class 3-4 scrambling in steep couloirs switching between Eastern and Western to the the best line to the summit. The decent is listed as the Most Dangerous in the Rockies as missing the correct decent route could prove fatal as the couloirs cliff out yikes, there are small cairns in place but don't count on them. We had a great accent in perfect weather.
