My heron hunting guide

Two toes is struggling to walk with his rear toe tied up in fishing line. So far the bird has been too smart and too fast for me to trap him. I tried to lure him with sardines and he shot off like a rocket. I brought a fishing line and the bird wouldn't let me get near. The next day I brought my fishing pole and again he wouldn't let get anywhere near him with that. The bird still lets me approach really close but I not sure what I can do. I carry my sheet and wire cutters to cut the line in case I have an opportunity but otherwise I'm just documenting his struggle and interestingly he is still really successful.
