The White Death The Greatest Sniper in History

The deadliest sniper in history stood just 5 feet 3 inches tall and worked as a farmer. His name was Simo Häyhä. When the Soviet Union invaded Finland with 450,000 troops in the winter of 1939, this quiet Finnish farmer donned his white camouflage, grabbed his rifle—which had no scope—and headed into the Kollaa forests. By neutralizing over 500 enemies in about 100 days, he became the Soviet army’s nightmare. They dubbed him the White Death. Snipers, machine guns, artillery bombardment... Nothing could stop him. Until a bullet struck him in the face and brought him down. This video tells the true story of a farmer’s transformation into one of history’s most dangerous men.
